Like many millennials, Erica entered the workforce when there were less jobs than there were graduates, thanks to the 2008 Recession. Erica accepted the challenge and creatively carved a career that engaged her skill set. She worked in the nonprofit community, conducting training, and managing staff and projects. By the time she was 24, she was managing a team of three to organize 85+ events and engage over 2000 volunteers per year.
After spending a several years managing volunteer human capital, she pivoted her career into organizational development and instructional design. To aid in her transition, she earned her master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology while working full-time designing training experiences and project managing a product pilot. Erica also successfully earned the SHRM-SCP in July 2020!
Outside of work, you can find Erica tending to her 180 houseplants, creating ceramic pieces, and giving her cat, Suki, more attention than she wants.
